Hudson, Quebec, Canada
Visual artist, photography hobbyist, published poet and author. PhD in German Literature (Rutgers University).
Originally from New Jersey, I now live in Quebec. I completed a number of courses at the Saidye Bronfman School of Fine Arts in Montreal (1998-2006), as well as through many workshops with Montreal artists.
I often do mixed media with ink, watercolor or acrylic. When I paint in the style of modern art, I lean toward the partially abstract. I also have an interest in fantasy illustration.
In addition, I am currently learning to practice the style of the Lingnan School of Painting, a Chinese art movement that originated in the early twentieth century in the province of Guangdong. As with all traditional Chinese art, this requires ink and watercolor on rice paper with specialized Chinese brushes. I am also interested in minimalist Zen-style art.
